Ecstasy

I am truly overjoyed that there is only one more thing I have to get past to go to witch camp. I just have to get my registration and payment in. I am so thrilled, because I get to what I love for 4 days.

Mysterious Ways

Wow, life is crazy. The Goddess works in mysterious ways. As I mentioned in my last blog there is a witch camp that I want to go to. I do not have the money to go to the camp. When I had my income taxes done this year I ended up owing money to the government, which bites since I work to pay OSAP and never have anything left for living expenses. So just when I think there is no way I can possibly go... a letter comes to me from the government telling me that there was a miscalculation and now they are giving me money. So now I have the money to go to camp, I have the green light from my sister, I can get the time off work. Now I am just waiting to hear if there are any spots left, so that I can register. Please tune in again at the same witch time on the same witch channel for the magic of my life.

Detours

It has always annoyed that employers want people with experience, but how does one get experience in the first place? While this is not the position I am in, I do find myself in a similar position. I want to train in the Reclaiming Tradition of Witchcraft, but in order to be trained I need someone who has the training and is in a position to train and willingness to train me. Teachers cannot be found simply by skimming the yellow pages or by putting an ad in the paper.

Murphy's Law

One of the things that just gets under my skin is when you find out about an opprotunity that is truly amazing and right up your alley, BUT wait you either missed it or its superclose and is to late to get in on. I was online trying to find out more information about the Reclaiming Tradition and how to receive training in said tradition when I stumbled across a witch camp that is being held a half hour away from my home and is being held June 11 - 14 for a grad total of $250. http://www.wildgingerwitches.org/ As I mentioned I want to be trained in the Reclaiming Tradition and this camp would probably be great help in setting me on the path to achieving the formention training. I have always wanted to receive this training, but have never met anyone who could help me. Thus far my training has consisted of a mixture of booklearning and other trained witches, but never in any one tradition. I have gone to witchvox unfortunately few to none can be found in my town / area. I know there are circles/covens etc in the area they are just so underground that I would need bulldozer to find them.

What is in a name.....

In my maidenhood, I took the name Gypsi Star and it means A wanderer who follows a star. I took the name because all my life I felt like I was searching for something, that I was lost. Now that I am entering my motherhood, I am no longer searching and I am no longer lost. The name Gypsi Star no longer fits, not to say I might never use it again, but it is time for a new magical name. In highschool I took the name Phoenix to honour my greatgrandmother and my grandmother and my mother. Both my greatgrandmother and my grandmother lost their first born daughters and had to raise from the ashes to have their second daughters. My mother did not have a daughter before me, but her first husband was less than ideal and then of course there is my dad. So she had to raise from that. My life has been filled with let's say trying, beyond guy troubles. I have had to walk through fire to burn away the pain and transform into the phoenix I am today.
